Charlevoix County Sheriff George T. Lasater says there were seven occupants in the vehicle. It's believed the driver, Jeremy Berg, 33-years-old of East Jordan, lost control of the vehicle, striking a bank of trees and causing the vehicle to turn on its side. Sheriff Lasater says the two juveniles were killed on impact. As for the five remaining passengers, Lasater says everyone is okay, but one person was treated and released from a near-by hospital.

The roadway along Four Mile and Hammond in Grand Traverse County was a prime example of the slippery situation with cars taking it slow...others not so much.
